physiotherapy

Physiotherapy or physical therapy treats diseases and neuromuscular-skeletal disorders using mechanical equipment, electric currents, manual maneuvers, therapeutic exercises, and other physical factors. Various therapeutic exercise methods, light, ultraviolet and infrared rays, heat, and electric current, are used in these methods. Physiotherapy is a field of medicine that aims to prevent diseases, treat, rehabilitate, and improve health. The goal is to improve the body's physical performance in physiotherapy. Physiotherapy treatments performed by a physiotherapist, directly or indirectly, also enhance the functioning of the physiological system due to the high interaction and communication of body systems. Physiotherapist's unique view of the patient and knowledge of the body's natural function and structure, along with careful examination, leads patients to prevent diseases, adapt people to the work environment, increase people's quality of life, reduce the need for surgery’s and long-term drug treatments with side effects. All physiotherapy treatment methods have scientific and research evidence and completely differ from physical medicine, chiropractic, traditional medicine, sports therapy, and massage therapy.
