Operating room
The operating room at Mousabn-e-jafar (A.S.) Hospital in Mashhad is one of the most critical and sensitive sections of the hospital, designed to adhere to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This section is fully sterile and restricted to specialized staff and surgical team members, ensuring that various surgeries are performed in a controlled environment with the utmost precision.
The operating room operates 24/7 with a dedicated and specialized resident staff, ready to serve both emergency and non-emergency patients. Each morning, all surgical schedules are meticulously planned, and patients are admitted to the section wearing sterile surgical gowns and pants, along with an identification wristband. Upon admission, all necessary documents, including informed consent forms, are carefully reviewed and verified.
Throughout the surgery process, strict hygiene protocols are followed. Patients are free from any jewelry or metal objects to prevent any interference with the surgery. Emergency cases are given priority, while infectious patients are scheduled last to prevent cross-contamination. After surgeries involving infectious patients, all equipment is immersed in disinfectant solutions, and the room is thoroughly sterilized.
Upon entering the operating room section, staff members change their clothing and shoes to ensure no contamination enters the sterile environment. At the end of each surgery, the room and equipment are disinfected using specialized Nocospray disinfectant, and after 20 minutes, the room is ready for the next procedure.
By following international standards, this section provides a clean and secure environment for various surgical procedures, consistently prioritizing patient safety and health.
